Hello, greetings and salutations! It has yet again been a while since I last blogged. And again I apologize for the long time since I last posted for you. I would love to give you a really great reason that is earthshaking and full of importance... but the only excuse that I have really is that I am a mom of two really active little girls. And while that is earthshaking and full of importance to myself there are relatively few others in this world who would really say it is all that important.
My Taryn is starting to pull herself up. So I am always after that kid. She is not quite a mile a minute... but she isn't far off. She has two teeth now and this little stinker teethes like a banshee. We could barely tell with Ash, so I was relatively unprepared aside from what I thought were grossly exaggerated stories from other people.
***** We interrupt this posting to give Ashlynn a bath... Mommy gave her apple slices and peanut butter for an afternoon snack. All that is known at this time is that the aftermath is atrocious. We are not sure if there is still a child under all of that peanut butter. We will get back to you shortly with the answer. We now return you to your regularly scheduled blog.*****
Sorry now I have to find my train of blank again, while Ashlynn splashes in the remaining water in the sink. See this is what gets in the way of blogging... because now I won't be able to do the dishes ( because our water heater is the size of Taryn) which was the plan immediately after snack. BUT the sign of a true mom ( aside from peanut butter all over half of your clothes and strained bananas on the rest) is that she can be flexible and even improvise when she needs to sometimes. That means that I will have to do the dishes later and something else will get pushed into something elses slot... which means that most likely I won't get the chance that I like at the end of the night to read a little before I fall into bed. This is life. Also I am making the mess bigger by letting her splash in the water... but this again is something I am willing to put up with because I can hear her giggles and the song that she is singing about B is for bubble. And I am willing to put up with extra mess because of that. These are the gifts that life gives that you really can't put a price on... and I certainly wouldn't give up!
The above scenario ( which by the way is entirely true! I will post pictures to prove it... although I was running away from Ash in Fear when she was covered head to toe in peanut butter so Alas I do NOT have before pictures. I do apologize!) is why I don't really get on here to blog as often as I would like. Even I have some limits ;p
My little velociraptor is singing my song ( I kid you not she sounds just like the raptors on Jurassic Park!) Ever since she started reaching for people she thinks that the least we can do is pick her up before she has to ask for it. So while I have a ton to tell you... I am not going to get even half of it said. She is rolling around in the walker and is looking for a little bit of face time. I will post some pics.... ( just not the ones of Ash yet because I don't think I have time to both download the camera and upload the pics onto the site) And I am hoping to get back to you all sometime before the month of April!
P.S. I just have to tell you this I was toweling Ash's hair off while the pics were uploading and she says " Stop mom don't mess my hair up!" I said "Was I messing your hair up? I'm sorry!" She says back to me "That's okay you were just being a good mom!" Sorry that cracked me up and I had to share it with someone... it loses its some of its funny by the time Dave gets home... if I even am able to remember some of the crazy stuff that she says and does. I think sometimes now that I am a stay at home mom that I have crossed over into bizzarro world and I speak a different language than the working world! Because that was funny to me and it won't be as funny to you... but then THAT is what my day is comprised of! The interests and the impulses not to mention the language of a two year old!
